Ulu Kukui Summer Program
June 8 – July 2, 2020
Morning Program
Registration for our summer program, Ulu Kukui is open to students who will be entering Kindergarten (at Manoa School) through students who have completed grade 4. The morning program be an in person program limited to 8-9 studnets per room and will run from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM Monday through Friday with a focus on concepts and standards missed during the school closures, in addition to enrichment type activities.
Cost: $250.00
Early Morning Care
We are also offering early morning care from 6:45-8:00 in the library. Breakfast will not be provided, however you may pack one for your child.
Cost: $50.00
Afternoon Program
The afternoon care program will be from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. It will provide your child with opportunities to participate in organized play, art and crafts, science, dance, and weekly field trips or water/pool play days. Lunch will be provided daily. The cost of all field trips are included in the program. A cash fee will be assessed by program director for late pickups: $5.00 per 15 minutes after 5:00 pm. We are still currently determining if we can ensure appropriate safety measures in order to hold this program. If we are unable to get the needed manpower to safely run this portion of the program it may be cancelled and families will receive a full refund.

Papa Hula
This papa hula will offer students the opportunity to learn 'olelo Hawai'i, oli and hula. In this papa hula, they will learn to take instruction in 'olelo Hawai'i terms, learn basic instruction and execution in oli, and solidify the basic foot movements of hula. They will learn a basic oli and hula. Classes will be offered every Monday & Wednesday from 12:30-1:30. Kumu Hula: TeHani Gonzado-Pimental
Cost: $80.00 (minimum enrollment of 10 students)
Hip-Hop
This class will provide students an opportunity to learn dance choreography to learn the latest dance moves to current POP hits. At the same time have fun getting healthy workout! Classes will be offered every Tuesday & Thursday from 12:30-1:30. Instructor: TeHani Gonzado-Pimental
Cost: $80.00 (minimum enrollment of 10 students)
Registration
Registration for the programs noted above will begin on Friday, March 1, and remain open until classes have been filled. Registration can be completed online or forms can be picked up from the school office. Please be sure to turn in the following to complete your child’s registration:
Your child’s application Will NOT be processed unless all items are turned in. Once your registration has been processed you will be notified via email, confirming your child’s enrollment and additional information. Spaces are limited and enrollment will be granted on a first-come first served basis. Should a class fill, students will be placed on a wait list until Friday, June 8, 2018.
Refund Policy
100% refund if student is withdrawn in writing on or before Friday, May 22, 2020
50% refund if withdrawn after Friday, May 22, 2020
No refund will be issued on or after Monday, June 8, 2020
*In the case of low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances, Manoa School reserves the right to cancel class(es) or its summer enrichment program(s).
