A+ After School Care
The '25-'26 A+ registration forms will only be available online. The website address is https://hawaiicommunityengagement.com/after-school-plus/programs/. Please fill out the different forms & submit a hard copy to the office. Electronic copies will not be accepted.
 
Due to possible staffing concerns, our program will be utilizing a lottery system. The first 120 names drawn will be accepted into our program. The remainder of the applicants will be placed on a waitlist. As new employees are hired & clear the fingerprinting verification process, more students will be accepted into the program.
 
All latchkey students are eligible for the a+ program. the following are the requirements for A+ eligibility:
  • Parent(s), guardian(s) or foster parent(s) must be employed during A+ hours of operation.
  • Parent(s), guardian(s) or foster parent(s) attend school during A+ hours of operation.
  • If a parent, guardian or foster parent attends school, a copy of their school schedule must be submitted.
 
If a parent, guardian or foster parent is self-employed, a copy of the following documents must be provided.
  • A copy of your general excise license.
  • A copy of Schedule C of your 2024 tax return.
 
Reminders:
  • If you do not have a home phone number, please fill in your cell number in its place.
  • The identity PIN on the emergency form refers to your driver’s license number.
 
All A+ registration forms & emergency cards need to be completed & submitted by July 3, 2025. All fields on these forms must be filled out completely. Incomplete forms will not be eligible for the lottery.
 
The lottery will be conducted on July 11th. Hopefully, this time frame will allow families an opportunity to find alternative childcare should your child(ren) not be selected for our program.

Students enrolled in the A+ after-school program experience a fun-filled and stimulating extension of their school day. Manoa Elementary School's program balances students' time between free play, homework, and structured activities.
 
Daily Schedule
2:15 - dismissal from school/report to A+
2:30 - snack and outdoor free play
3:15 - uninterrupted homework
3:45 - additional homework time/outdoor free play
4:15 - activity
5:30 - end of program
